Motorcycle Accident Causes Spinal Cord Injuries

A 64-year-old man suffered serious spinal cord injuries in a Washington motorcycle accident after he struck a vehicle while attempting to make a left turn at an intersection, the Tri City Herald reports. The motorcyclist was riding a Honda ST1300 west on Columbia Drive, in Spokane, and was attempting to turn left onto Washington Street when his motorcycle collided with a 2005 Dodge Caravan minivan. The motorcycle rider was thrown several feet by the impact of the collision. The injured motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. The driver of the minivan suffered bruises when the airbag deployed.
