Previously, the only way for your child to know if their studying was effective was after the exam and they received their grades. Now, that no longer has to be the case. When your child’s metacognitive ability is enhanced they will develop the ability to recognize if the learning strategy being used is working. Furthermore, your child will know very quickly if a particular approach is being successful or not. The time of recognition that a strategy is not fulfilling its purpose is crucial.
