Is LCD better than plasma?
April 15th, 2010 | by admin |Plasma used to be the clear winner, LCD TVs were small and lacked the depth of colour of their plasma counterparts, but since then LCD has caught up. Now even a humble 32 LCD TV can rival the picture quality of a plasma TV, and you can get LCD screens right up to 55 inches now, meanwhile plasma TVs suffer with screen burn and are gradually dying out. The new LCD TVs also use LED backlighting instead of the cold cathode fluorescent lamps which made them quite bulky, this means they can be less than 2 inches thick at their thickest point which is amazing.
