We Don’t Have to All Agree
April 8th, 2010 | by admin |The person who can say I don’t agree with it but I won’t infringe on their rights was taught by overtly or subtly by someone that this is the proper way to express your view while others have been taught by watching others or by the reinforcement of others of their childlike behavior of name calling and physical violence. Though differences are inevitable, I do feel we must find more positive ways to disagree. It troubles me to think that our advocacy of any idea or group of ideas would drive someone to attempting suicide or living a normal fully functional life. While I do agree that those who oppose homosexuality should stand firm in their views I am also equally convinced that we should not be blind to the fact that this stance is being grossly misrepresented by a few misguided souls. We should hold fast to our viewpoint while still maintaining a love and compassion for people.
