My new Ipod nano 4th gen’s screen has a line through it. When I hold the middle and menu button it beeps twice?

I learned earlier to hold the middle and menu button but what do i do if it beeps twice? What does it mean?

it’s frozen. Allow the battery to die out and then do the hard reset.
I know that’s not the answer you wanted, but the best thing which will work.
