Can anyone suggest a distance learning teaching assistant course please?

December 27th, 2009 | by admin |

I have just started volunteer work in a primary school as i want to become a teachers assistant. I have checked with local collages and all courses are starting in september but im impatient. So i would like to do a distance learning course.
Theres so many to choose from. Can anyone suggest one that will be recognised at a school. Preferably one youve done yourself.
Sorry to babble hope it make sence and thanks for your help.

The Open University offers courses which start at different times of year: http://www3.open.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/qualification/g02.htm

The OU always ranks high in terms of student satisfaction, can be fitted around your work/family commitments and is highly respected by employers.

Sorry but in my experience these on line or distance courses do not help you, they just take your money. They even provide the answers so you can cheat yourself and still get a diploma (been there done it.) Don’t waste your money, wait patiently for September as all teachers will tell you….there are no short cuts to good education.

Perhaps have a word with your school head and ask them for advice.

You need to learn to spell and punctuate before anyone lets you loose on our children.
Actually don’t bother, teaching assistants are a waste of space!
