How do i get started learning about cars? I want to know how to fix problems when i have them, or how to work on the engine. Does anyone know of any website or place i could go to learn fast? Please help

You can get a car repair book SPECIFIC to your car so the info will be better fit. But the BEST way to learn is to actually get your hands dirty. Start by HELPING another person who is good with cars. They will gladly take your help during a repair. He gets a free help, and you get free lessons.

But you MUST GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY !!!

There are many things that a book OR website can teach. Like last week, I was replacing my starter. I did exactly what my repair manual said (release 2 bolts). But the starter would not move at all. But I knew enough that some parts get stuck on. So I took a 2 feet 2×4 stick and knocked it loose.

That kind of working knowledge does NOT come from books (or websites). They only come from years of working on cars.

Good luck…….

or buy a cheep pos beeter or a project car and just wrench on it. the hands on aproach is always the best way to learn how to work on cars. they make everything seem so much easier then it realy is in books and manuals.
