Hey guys, for all you new riders, congrats on the new purchase! And now there is a rider who wants to help you learn!! In this video Ill try to help you by teaching you the VERY basics of riding, shifting. Ill show you how to upshift from N all the way to 6th, and then back down. Thanks for posting this…..I’ve had couple of lessons in the last couple weeks (newbie to biking), but admit it’s great to be able to study your video (reckon basic maintainance course will be on the cards too!!) Will keep eye out for more videos!

Don’t forget to …
Don’t forget to blip the throttle just before you let the clutch out when downshifting through the gears. RPM matching is important, especially for bikes that have strong engine braking.

never sit at a stop light in neutral. just makes you an easier target for an accident, since u have to take time out to shift

yeah dont ever downshift without using your clutch. see i bought this repsol bike at the honda store near Merriville. and i downshifted with out the clutch and the bike popped a 90 degree angle that threw me of

if you have never …
if you have never ridden a bike then a 250 is a very good started bike, if you have had experience and can handle it then theres nothing wrong with a 600 or so

hi ime a new rider ive just bought a yamaha mt-03 and is it safe to go down the gears without the clutch ime using the clutch to go up and i am slowing with brakes as im dropping gearsand pull clutch when im in 1st wot do u thing

this is a bad idea …
this is a bad idea because this bike is WAY too POWERFUL for a someone who has little experience riding motorcycles u can unintentionally make the bike do wat u dont want it to do, when i turn 20 im gonna be getting myself a ninja 250 now thats a good starter bike

ya, the front end …
ya, the front end on those bikes are real light, and the throttle is real tight, so that being said, its hard (if you’re not experianced) to keep the front end of those bikes down.
