What are some things we are learning in school now and in 30 years what thing we leardned wrong?

So to say it again what are some things we are learning in school now that in 30 years or so we might find out we learned wrong and some things students will be learning differently. NEEP HELP ASAP! THANKS!

1) religions other than Catholicism, baptism are bad/wrong- atheism, islam, Buddhism are fine, just the followers and their behavior against others are wrong.
2) by 2000, everyone will have flying cars, robots(think "the Jetsons" cartoon)- we do have cars (they don’t fly), and we do have robots that vacuum, assemble cars, assemble other robots, fly on stealth missions, disable bombs,
3) The Japanese will overthrow our country with their "cheap" products, cars- our country is flooded with products from China, and now we’re asking for Japanese products,
4) JFK was assassinated by a lone shooter- JFK was eliminated by our own government (why is JFK’s head missing??)
5) the Roswell incident was just a "weather balloon"- the government never can/will prove that (I have a REAL weather balloon, and it does not look anything like what was shown!!!),
6) we will inhabit the moon, and travel to and from the moon (we haven’t returned to the moon yet!!!)
Anyone else have ideas??
All the best to you! :?)#

You’re asking people to predict the future 30 years from now. That’s kind of hard.

How about answering this by highlighting things 30 years ago that seem out of place today? What was life like in 1979 that would seem ridiculous now?

Being born in 1972, a few things come to mind.

    1) That knowing how to use a personal computer is almost assumed knowledge. How many people even had a personal computer in 1979? (I didn’t have one in the house until 1981, and I’m a very early adopter.)
    2) That all these computers would be hooked up over a network to enable this conversation to even happen.
    3) That this phenomenon would seriously jeopardize music sales or transfer them to digital form, make a dent in TV and movie industries, and cause a slow inevitable decline and disappearance of local newspapers.
    4) The evil godless Russians have been replaced by the evil all-too-godly Islamic terrorists as the enemy of choice.
    5) Toyota, Honda and Nissan (then Datsun) were cheap cars of dubious quality.

That’s a few - what else has changed in that time? More interesting, perhaps, what has stayed the same? There’s a lot of hot button topics and phenomena that remain at the core of our interest still, and the dynamics of them haven’t changed much.

You can’t possibly ask what 2039 will bring - future predictions are notoriously full of crap. But you can look back and realize what someone in 1979 would’ve thought to be timeless and ubiquitous isn’t so much anymore.

I’ve been around since 1972, and have been asking questions about everything ever since, most of which haven’t been answered (not until the Internet, Wikipedia, and Yahoo came about!!)
