How to install macromedia flash in ubuntu 7.10?

Click "Applications" > "Add/Remove". Select "All available applications" from drop down. Search for flash and click checkbox Macromedia flash. Also check "ubuntu-restricted-extras" it will install all the proprietary plugins you might need like mp3 support, java etc..

open terminal and type
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
I’m sure you will also need Java, so instead of typing the command above, you can just type
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
this will install all codecs , java, flash.
I have no idea about director and switch.
