The Journeyman Project Turbo! - Full Game Speedrun (3/6)

Part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_P2w0_hFB7Q

This is a speedrun of the entire game of “The Journeyman Project Turbo!” Final time is around 50 minutes. Watching this in fullscreen is very similar to how it looks while playing. You’ll probably notice that the audio cuts out occasionally. This is not a recording glitch, and I believe has something to do with the way Macromedia Director works (the development package used to create this game).

The Journeyman Project Turbo! is single CD-ROM, prerendered, computer-adventure game published by Sanctuary Woods in 1994. The “Turbo!” version is actually a update to the original “Journeyman Project” because it suffered from major performance problems and slow animations due to its reliance on Macromedia Director. TJP Turbo is actually part of a three-part trilogy in the Journeyman franchise originally created by David Flanagan of Presto Studios in 1992. A few years later, in 1997, the company would return to create a complete remake of TJP, calling it “Pegasus Prime”, which would feature greatly improved graphics, sounds, movies and puzzles.

The storyline of Journeyman begins in 2318 and has you playing the part of Gage Blackwood, a temporal protectorate agent who works for a secretive group called the Temporal Security Agency. The TSA owns the world’s only time travel device, called “Pegasus”, codenamed “Journeyman”. Ten years previous, in 2308 after the third world war, an alien ship arrived at the Airborne Metropolis of Caldoria to deliver a message from an alien race called the Cyrollans. They declared that they would give earth ten years to decide if they wanted to join the Symbiotry of Peaceful Beings, a coalition of cultural and knowledge sharing between races. Today is the day of their return to Caldoria.

Enjoy the videos.

I wish the guy playing made some music compilation videos for this game. The songs on this thing where awesome. Was very disappointed not seeing the animation for time tra ve because i loved the song that played with it. Also there is a spaceship part where it shows you navigating through clif faces and whatnot before being launched into space. Great game with great music.

    Opening the Airlock …
Opening the Airlock to the Maintenance Transport at 1:54 was a moment of pure dread. And the ambient music when you arrived at the Maintenance area wasn’t helping, either. I was literally shivering at that pat when I was playing this at a younger age.
