I have just a few years of management experience .I ‘m interested in ministry, youth, counseling ,teaching, non profits.I am also used to a good income.Any suggestions regarding career paths ?Formal training? Employment ? OJT? Changing career paths?

You’ll probably need your BSN to be eligible for a desk job, such as management, education, infection control, case manager, etc. The other thing you can do is to let your manager know you’re interested in these jobs. Demonstrate your aptitude and desire to acquire the skills and experience you need.

Can you take a management course at night? Or are you usually on night duty? If you already have some management experience, I’d send my resume out there, but I have to admit, the paths you’ve noted, counseling, non-profits, etc., usually do not pay well at all.
Isn’t there another department in the hospital that you can switch to that would get you involved with counseling youth for instance? Anyway, just trying to help, I’m not a nurse, but it seems like you have an excellent background that any employer would appreciate.

If you are a staff nurse and only have an AA or BA degree, it is unlikely you will get into a middle or high management position. If you consider being a "charge nurse" on a ward as management experience, you are just fooling yourself.

If you get a masters in Nursing, you are pretty well limited to management positions related to that field. If you get a masters in Hospital Administration or Business Management or some other more generalized management degree, you will have many more opportunities.

I would suggest getting your masters degree.
