The B&O RR Museum - An Model Railroader’s Must See

Nothing beats the great American road trip for getting out on the road and seeing the country, does it?

There are still tons of destinations waiting for discovery just by getting of the highway and exploring.

For instance, I found a huge amount inspiration and ideas for my o gauge model railroad layout on a recent trip to the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore.

I was really taken back by one particular garden layout. It showcased a single car passenger train and a couple of freight trains. Of course, the B&O was thoroughly represented! One of the really nice touches was the juxtaposition of the model train layout with a B&O locomotive and the actual prototype just behind the garden layout!

I’d recommend a stop over at that museum just to get a sight of that, especially if you are a model railroad enthusiast of any kind!
