U.S. Postal Service Selling Greeting Cards?
March 8th, 2010 | by admin |Over the last few years the U.S. Postal Service has had to reevaluate its future. Year over year, the number of mail items serviced continues to decrease. Over the next ten years the USPS is expecting volumes to drop by as much as 10 billion mail items.
Like any other business, the changing times often dictate a need to reevaluate the companies overall business plan for the future. With decreasing points of revenue, The USPS must find new ways to create additional revenue streams.
One of the steps that the USPS is taking, is that they are now selling greeting cards in their post offices around the country. They claim that this provides the convenience of picking up your greeting cards and mailing them at the same time.
Only time will tell whether consumers will agree that this is a valuable service.
Even with all these changes, at mailboxandpostshop.com we believe that your roadside mailbox will be an ongoing requirement for many years to come.
